The 117th Old Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Air Force Reunion will be held at the Mammoth Spring State Park Aug. 9-14.
The Mammoth Spring VFW Post 7831 and the Ladies Auxillary annually sponsor this event.
This year, the Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a youth and adult talent show. On Monday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. the youth talent show will be held for youth ages infant to 12 years old. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. will be the adult talent show for ages 13 and older.
Those entering either talent show need not be pre-registered, but are asked to be at the pavillion on the hill between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to register.

The first place winners in each talent show will receive $75, second place winners will receive $50 and third place winners will receive $25.
Rides will open each night of the carnival at 6 p.m. Armbands will be available each night for $15.
A Civil War encampment is planned for Saturday, Aug. 14, with a skirmish set for 2 p.m. There will be tours of the encampment, drills and canon-firing demonstrations. The encampment will be presented by the 45th Arkansas Calvary.
Bingo will also be played each evening of the reunion and the Ladies Auxiliary will hold a drawing for a cedar chest on Saturday evening at 10 p.m.
The Ladies Auxiliary will also be selling Rada knives and cookbooks. Some other entertainment is being planned throughout the week.
Friday evening around 7:30 p.m., entertainment will be by the HillBilly Express at the pavillion.
Anyone planning to attend this year's activities should bring a lawn chair and enjoy themselves.
