On July 26, a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Amy J. Borreson, 27, of Thayer was headed westbound on Highway 142 four miles east of Thayer when Borreson allegedly fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle drove off the left side of the roadway, striking several trees. Borreson was transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains with moderate injuries. The investigating officer was Sgt. R. T. Rees.
On July 28, a 1994 Ford Explorer driven by Kathleen I. Loth, 63, of Alton ran off the side of Route P three miles south of Rover, overturning. Loth was transported by Air Evac to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., with moderate injuries. Trooper T. E. Young was the investigating officer.
On July 30, a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Lance S. Huggins, 36, of Hazelwood, Mo., failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 160, 15 miles east of Alton. The motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting Huggins. Huggins was transported to Ozarks Medical Center with moderate injuries. Sgt. R. T. Rees was the investigating officer.
