Mammoth Spring H.S. celebrates 50 years of Homecoming

Friday, November 19, 2010

There is big excitement at Mammoth Spring High School as it prepares to celebrate its 50th Homecoming.

"Through The Years" festivities will begin Friday, Nov. 19, at 5:30 p.m. in the gym with the introduction of all Mammoth Spring basketball players and cheerleaders.

The naming and crowning of the Queen will follow.

One of three Senior girls, Kayla Ragsdale, Jessy Jo Vest and Nicole Paschal, will be chosen to reign over the basketball games to follow, the Bears vs. ICC.

The Queen finalists will be accompanied by their Homecoming Court: Brianna VinGinhoven, Sammy Jo Honeycutt, Lindsey Ragsdale, Abbi Flynn and Jill Marler.

"Since this is our 50th Homecoming celebration, we are inviting all of the past Homecoming Queens to come join us," said teacher (and 1987 Queen), Tina Taylor.

At halftime of the ball games, past Queens who are in attendance will be introduced to the audience.

"We have had a lot of fun going through old yearbooks and getting photos of all the past Homecoming Queens to display during Homecoming," said Taylor.

The night will end with a special Homecoming Dance, after the games.
