The reunion was the highlight for Davena and Janisue. Davena and Janisue were amazed of the relatives they met and immediately fell in love with.

The Rigel genes are definitely apparent said Davena with the amazing resemblance and can do attitude of the Oregon Rigel's. With the Riegel's having arrived in 1732 and 1733 from Becherbach Bei Kirn, Germany, they again fought for their freedom in the American Revolution War, The War of 1812 and continue to fight today to keep this country free.

Everyone in attendance brought dishes of marvelous food. Ray and Gloria Rigel brought the 2010 Anniversary Rigel cake, the abundance of food was a feast.

The reunion started at 11 a.m., and ended at 4 p.m. Each relative was given a booklet Janisue had made documenting their ancestry from census reports and bible records. Davena and Janisue are members of the Thomas Bay Chapter of the Daughters of 1812 and have their papers in for The Margaret Montgomery Chapter of The Daughters of The American Revolution and The Robert Woodson Chapter CDXVIIC. As Janisue said, it is an honor to belong to these organizations for our ancestors.
