The Salem Greyhounds traveled to Quitman for 2-2A Conference play April 14.
Starting the game with aggressive offense, the Hounds scored early.
Strong pitching and stout defense from Salem kept Quitman in check.
The Greyhounds pounded out three home runs and three ground-rule doubles, along with a variety of other hits, to rack up 15 runs in the contest.
On the mound, Salem posted 12 strikeouts, ending the afternoon with a 15-4 rout.
The Hounds' final conference game was against Bradford.
With rain delaying the game numerous times, it was moved to April 18, when the squads caught a break from the weather.
The teams battled close at the beginning, with both pitching staffs and the defense behind them razor-sharp.
Then, Salem sprang to life and recorded 11 total runs, while holding the Eagles to only one. The win over Bradford gave the Hounds the outright conference title, with an undefeated league mark to go along with it.
