Thayer police officers made three arrests on Thursday, June 29, while conducting surveilance on local businesses.
Chief of Police David Bailey said night shift foot patrols were started after a rash of business burglaries.
Clifford Niermann, 45, of Thayer was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
Jason Harring, 38, of West Plains was arrested on outstanding Cape Girardeau County warrants for Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Registure a Motor Vehicle, No Insurance and No Seat Belt.
Larry Meador, 52, of West Plains was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Niermann and Meador were released after posting bond, while Harring was turned over to Cape Girardeau authorities.
According to Chief Bailey, the three individuals were arrested after officers observed suspicious activity at a business.
Bailey said officers have spent many hours on the foot patrols and they will continue.
