George was united in marriage to Nova Joyce Smith on October 7, 1948, at Mountain Home, Ark.. He spent his working years as a rural mail carrier and a cattle farmer. George served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Elizabeth Church of Christ.
He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Joyce Huett of Elizabeth; son, Phillip Huett (Diane) of Gepp; daughter, Nancy Moody (Steve) of Pocahontas; 3 grandchildren, Llaura Shaddon (Jason) of Russellville, Ark., Audra Adams (Jeremy) of Paragould and Alexa Moody of Pocahontas; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Remington Shaddon; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Troy, Horace and Harlin Huett and two sisters, Maxine Crymes and Leodia Guenthner.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 8, 2011, at Elizabeth Church of Christ in Elizabeth, Ark., with Bro. Bill Beebe officiating. Interment was in the Elizabeth Cemetery at Elizabeth under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark. Pallbearers were Lawrence Huett, Earl Huett, Royce Huett, Jim King, Paul King, Burnell Montgomery and Bernard Huett. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Shaddon and Jeremy Adams.
