UPDATE: Hardy Drowning Victim's Name Released

Rescue workers with the Hardy Fire and Police Department, Cherokee Village Fire Department, Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department as well as officers with the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, Cherokee Village Police Department, Ravenden Police Department and local citizen's work to free a female drowning victim from High Falls, near Rio Vista in Hardy on July 25.
On Monday, July 25, a female drowning victim was recovered by rescue personnel from High Falls in Hardy, near Rio Vista. Carla Jo Davenport, 41, of Lonoke was swept into the falls and become trapped between two large rocks.Hardy and Cherokee Village water rescue teams, along with personnel from area Police and the Sharp County Sheriff's department aided in the recovery effort.
