M.S. Old Judge Days seeks volunteers

The committee for the 23rd annual Solemn Old Judge Days in Mammoth Spring on Sept. 2-3 is seeking participants and volunteers to help with activities and events.

The two-day event commemorates Grand Ole Opry founder George D. Hay's visit to Mammoth Spring many years ago.

The committee is looking for workers and participants for the Friday, Sept. 2, play, "Reflections in the Spring" (the story of George D. Hay's visit to Mammoth Spring), which will be in the Mammoth Spring State Park pavilion at 7:30. To help with the production or help with the following Sept. 3 activities, call Mammoth Spring City Hall at 870-625-3518.

An antique car show will be at the state park, with gates opening at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, and judging starting at 11 a.m. There is a $20 entry fee. Judging is by MACC. Call Ron Cornelius at 417-280-0162. Vendors and groups wishing to set up booths or games may call Leta Montgomery at 870-625-0665.
