The Semi-Annual Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Hardy Library will be held Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8, at First Baptist Church of Hardy located at 5th and Church Street, next to MacDonald's restaurant. Shoppers are welcome from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day. Flooding caused cancellation of the May book sale, so there will be a full year's supply of books to choose from.

Donations of books should be delivered to the Baptist Church on Thursday, October 6 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Books may be taken to the Hardy Library prior to the sale. Any type of book is welcome

Please Bring Your Own Sturdy Bags to Carry Books Purchased.

The Book Sale benefits the Sharp County Library in Hardy.

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit entity and depends on the generosity of community members.

Volunteers are needed to help set up the Book Sale in the church on Thursday, October 6.

The set-up is from 8:30 a.m. until finished at approximately 11:30 a.m. Call Jayne Abele at 870-257-3842 for information.

Why did the City Of Hardy not post this event on the "official city website" to show support and to inform those that view the calendar on its site.

You would think the City who has also worked with the new addition would be happy to also promote a fund raiser for the library.
