Chapter officers from Thayer High School FCCLA attended an official training workshop in Ava on Sept. 7. Nearly 75 FCCLA officers and advisors attended.

The Family Career and Community Leaders of America training helped new officers learn about the FCCLA organization and leadership development opportunities and programs.

Region 9 officer training allowed students to develop skills for more effective chapter management, leadership skills, and working as a chapter team.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members.

It is the only career and technical student organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in FCCLA programs and activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities.
