Two Doniphan residents and four others sustained moderate injuries in a two-car crash at 12:53 p.m. Oct. 9 on Highway 160 and Route M three miles west of Fairdealing. Benny Hancock, 68, of Fairdealing was eastbound in a 2007 Chevrolet when his vehicle was hit in the rear by a 1994 Chevrolet driven by Brittnee Spradling, 20, of Dexter, according to the patrol. Spradling's passenger, Jordan T. Evans, 24, of Dexter, was injured. Neither were wearing seatbelts. Hancock's passengers, Shirley Hancock, 64, Fairdealing, and Joel M. Tejeda, 48, and Kimberly D. Tejeda, 45, both of Doniphan, were buckled. All were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Shirley A. Barton, 76, of Alton sustained moderate injuries at 1:43 p.m. Oct. 4 when the 1994 Ford she was driving on Highway 160 ten miles east of West Plains ran off the roadway. Barton was wearing a seatbelt and taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
