Brandy N. Crouch, 25, and her passenger, Mathias Jackson, 7, both of Grandin, were injured at 8:13 p.m. Oct. 21 when the 1994 Chrysler Crouch was driving hit a 2008 Chevrolet that was stopped in traffic on Route 21 five miles west of Ellsinore in Carter County. Dustin J. Frazier, 21, of Ellsinore, the driver of the Chevrolet, was not injured, according to the patrol. All were wearing seatbelts. Crouch and Jackson were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
Mical L. Ridley, 33, of Thayer was seriously injured at 10:05 a.m. Oct. 29 when the 1997 Chevrolet he was driving eastbound on Route W in Oregon County a half mile west of Thayer ran off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole and overturned multiple times, ejecting Ridley. Ridley was not wearing a seatbelt and was airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
