Bradley L. Hopper, 19, of Gatewood was seriously injured when he was ejected from a 2011 Polaris Sportsman ATV he was a passenger on at 11:02 p.m. Nov. 5 on Route J, one mile west of Pine in Ripley County, when the ATV overturned. Driver Kristina L. Huber was uninjured. Neither were wearing helmets. Hopper was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Two Carter County teens and two adults were injured in a 9:49 p.m. crash Nov. 7 on Highway 60 in Fremont. According to the patrol, a westbound 2007 Honda driven by Corey L. Holbek, 20, of Van Buren crossed the median, travelled across the eastbound land and hit an embankment. Holbek sustained serious injuries and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Passenger Heather D. Haley, 18, of Van Buren also was seriously injured and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Tiffany D. Glover, 19, and Colt E. Simpson, 24, both of Elsinore, were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. None were wearing seatbelts.

Kayla N. Thomas, 20, of Naylor sustained moderate injuries when the 2006 Chevrolet she was riding in hit a cow on Route B, about two miles south of Fairdealing at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 7. She was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The driver, Travis N. Thomas, 21, of Naylor was not injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.
