19 arrested in four county drug sweep

19 drug related arrests have been made in the Third Judicial District following a four county drug investigation.

The Third Judicial District Drug Task Force, Arkansas State Police, Department of Community Correction and Sheriff's Departments in Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph and Sharp Counties were involved in the investigation, as were local police departments in Pocahontas, Cherokee Village, Hardy, Highland, Ash Flat and Newport. Numerous drug dealers have been charged and arrested, many on felony charges.

Prosecuting Attorney Henry Boyce and Director of the Third Judicial District Drug Task Force announced the arrests on Dec. 7.

Ten of the 19 arrested were from Sharp County. In Williford: Randy Mitchell, 53, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony; Phillip Matlock, 55, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a Class B felony; in Highland, Jesse William Rogers, 50, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a Class B felony; Rosita O'Neill, 57, delivery of a controlled substance, Schedule V Narcotics, a Class D felony; Kenneth Sapp, 21, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, Schedule II narcotic, a Class Y felony. Charged from Hardy were Richard Isaac Mendes, 29, charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class D Felony; Shannon Johnson, 41, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a Schedule II Narcotic, a Class Y felony and Brenda Painter, 49, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, Schedule II narcotic, a Class Y felony. In Cherokee Village; Glenn Gaibraith, 49, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, including two Class Y felony charges and one Class D felony; Coty Hollensteiner, 22, was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony.

Others charged included from Pocahontas, Thomas David Hubert, 37, charged with delivery of marijuana, a Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony; Billy Jo Davis, 41, charged with unlawful distribution, a Class D felony; Brittany Bagwell, 45, charged with delivery of a controlled substance, morphine, a Class Y felony; Kevin Benton, 24, was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, one Class Y and one Class B felony; Scot Kildow, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony. Patty Manning, 45, of Biggers was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, morphine, a Class Y felony. Pleasant Vaulner, 60, of Strawberry was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C Felony and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony. Joseph Harris, 29, of Newport was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony; and James Lassiter, 24, of Newport was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony.

Boyce said the operation took the cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies and he believes the arrests have illegal drugs off the streets.
