Tractor club raffles antique tractor

The Tri-County Tractor Club recently raffled a 1953 Ford Jubilee tractor off as their annual fundraiser.

Trent Bradley, of Cave City won the raffle. The club donates proceeds from the raffle to five area food banks, in Sharp, Izard, Fulton, Lawrence and Independence County.

After taking out expenses for the club's next project, nearly half of the proceeds were given to the food banks.

Bobby King, President said the club worked on restoring the old tractor for about four months prior to the auction.

Members do about 90 percent of the restoral in their annual project which is completed near the holiday season each year.

The Tri County Tractor Club welcomes new members who are interested in restoring old tractors.

Throughout the year, the group patriciates in Melbourne Pioneer Days, the Fourth of July parade at Horseshoe Bend, the Cave City Watermelon Festival and Sidney St. Patrick's Day parade, as well as performing tractor demonstrations at other local events, including plow day.
