For those eager to start a garden, stockpiling seed catalogs and making wish lists should be only part of your winter planning activity. Before ordering a long list of seeds from catalogs, you might want to try acquiring seeds through this fun and easy Seed SWAP, on Saturday, Feb 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

You can not only save a little money, but it's a great way to get together with other local gardeners. Plus, by trading seeds locally, you will be joining the efforts of gardeners worldwide to preserve plant diversity and keep many heirloom garden plants around for generations to come.

Everyone is encouraged to bring some of their favorite seeds, plant starts, and garden secrets to trade with others. Flowers and shrub starts are welcome as well. We will serve refreshments and there will be trade items for everyone. If you are a first time gardener, come meet other gardeners and gather ideas for growing in our area.

Robert Cissell says, "Burgeon Farms was founded to remedy a lack of fresh organically grown produce, year-round, in the Spring River Area. At Burgeon Farms, we combine traditional organic growing principles with a willingness to explore and innovate on our journey to create a holistic gardening experience. We do this in order to provide our communities with the best combination of fresh produce at reasonable prices."
