During the Feb. 1 session of Fulton Circuit Court, Billy James Kiefer, 43, pleaded guilty to Theft of Property. Kiefer was sentenced by Judge Tim Weaver to serve 72 months in the Arkansas Department of Correction. Kiefer was ordered to make $1,500 in restitution to his victim, and pay $520 in court costs and fees.

Kory Brandon Newman, 20, pleaded nolo contendre to Criminal Mischief First Degree. Under a plea agreement, Newman was given three years probation. He will pay a fine of $1,500.

Polson Gayron, 50, pleaded guilty to the use of Fraud or Deceit to Procure Narcotic Drugs. Under a plea agreement, Gayron was given 60 months probation. Judge Weaver ordered Gayron to pay a $3,000 fine, and $895 in court costs and fees.

Adam E. Wilson, 29, pleaded guilty to Theft of Property. Under a plea agreement, Wilson was sentenced to 36 months probation. Wilson was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $770 in court costs and fees.

On Feb. 8, Leanne Bain was charged in a Circuit Court filing with Filing a False Report with a Law Enforcement agency. On Jan. 23, Bain reported that an acquaintance had given her a drug and raped her at her Fulton County home. When text messages to the alleged attacker indicated she may not have been telling the truth, Bain later admitted that she had engaged in consensual sex. Sheriff Buck Foley sought the false reporting charge. He wants to collect $300 restitution for time his department spent investigating the rape report. He is also seeking $583 for services provided by the Fulton County Hospital during the investigation.

In another Circuit Court filing, Roger D. Hendricks was charged with Forgery. On Jan. 24, Hendricks allegedly cashed a $251 check on the account of another man. The man claims he paid Hendricks $251 in cash, and Hendricks took the check out of his vehicle and wrote it without his authorization.
