Izard County volleyball standout, Taylor Booth, signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge. Booth becomes the first Lady Cougar volleyball player to sign a letter of intent, since the school began volleyball three years ago. During the 2011-12 season, Booth had 76 aces (4.9 per game), 294 digs, (17.3) per game, and 201 kills (11.8 per game). She was also named All-State and All-Conference as a junior and senior, and was named to the All-Tournament team in the Harrisburg Hornet Volleyball Classic and the Cave City Cavewomen Volleyball Classic. Taylor is the daughter of Tony and Sheila Booth of Horseshoe Bend. Tony is also the coach of the Lady Cougars' volleyball team.
