There will be a free nuisance bat control workshop provided by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission next month.

The seminar will be held April 24 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The workshop will be held at the AGFC Central Office in Little Rock at 2 Natural Resources Drive.

There are 16 species of bats in Arkansas.

While many Arkansas bats live in caves, most of them only stay there during the winter.

During the summer, most of the state's bats live in hollow trees, underneath loose bark or just hang out on the end of tree branches in a clump of leaves.

A few species will live in buildings or underneath bridges.

If you're having problems with nuisance bats and would like to register for the clinic, call Blake Sasse at 877-470-3650 ext. 1235.

You may also contact him via email at dbsasse@agfc.state.ar.us.
