Veterans Memorial Program May 28

Cherokee Village American Legion Post 346 along with VFW Post 4772, DAV #55, Purple Heart Association and Sharp County Veterans Memorial Committee invites everyone to attend the annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 28, at the American Veterans Memorial in Ash Flat at 11 a.m. The keynote speaker will be State Representative Linda Collins-Smith.

Farmer's Market

opens May 25

The Spring River Farmer's Market, at Cherokee Village, plans a weekend of activities, May 25 and 26, to launch its second season. The market will be open both days from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a flea market, arts and crafts sale, baked goods and produce. The market is located on Tekakwitha Drive -- the road that runs along St. Michaels Church off of Highway 62/412. For information, call Jerry Adams at 870-847-6422.

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast May 26

The annual Cherokee Village Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Cherokee Village Town Center. Tickets are $5 per person for all you can eat pancakes and sausage. Proceeds will go towards Kiwanian scholarships for area students. The Highland Key Club, Boy Scouts and Ruff Riders 4-H Club will help with the breakfast fundraiser.
