On April 25th, three Fulton County 4Hers competed and placed 3rd in the Arkansas Grassland Evaluation Contest near Conway, Ark. The team is comprised of Hunter Saunders, Leah Wasson, and Perri Huett. Leah also came in 4th place among the overall individual scores.The Grassland Evaluation contest consists of fourcomponents: Plant Identification, Wildlife Habitat, Soil Interpretation, and Grassland Condition. It is perhaps one of the most practical pasture and livestock contests for youth in the state and is available to Arkansas 4H and FFA teams. With their 3rd place finish, the Fulton County 4H team will be eligible to compete in the nationwide, Mid-America contest that will be held in Springfield, Mo in early June. This contest will feature FFA and 4H teams from around the country. Congratulations to these Fulton County youth and good luck in their upcoming national contest!
