Election results

available online

More than 300 people cast ballots during the early voting period in Fulton County, which ended on Monday, May 21.

As voting began statewide on Tuesday, May 22, election officials were expecting a light turnout, in the range of 25 to 30 percent.

In Fulton County, two Democrats, Seth Jones and Jamie Turnbough, campaigned hard to generate interest in the Treasurer's race.

Other contested offices included Democrats David Rothgeb and Lynn "Arles" Linderman for Constable; Democrats Ray Matthew and Burton Yarnell for District 3 Justice of the Peace; and Democrats Johnny Moody and Guy B. Smith for Justice of the Peace, District 5.

Because of our Tuesday printing deadline, complete election results will appear in the May 31 editions of our papers.

Results are also posted on our website: www.areawidenews. com.
