The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a "Kids Fishing Derby" for youngsters 12 years old and younger at the Commission's Jim Hinkle/Spring River State Fish Hatchery on Saturday June 9, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Jim Hinkle/Spring River State Fish Hatchery is located 2.5 miles south of Mammoth Spring, AR at the end of State Highway 342. The youngersters will be fishing in the hatchery's stocked ponds for rainbow trout. Anglers must bring their own bait and tackle. Derby rules are: free fishing for kids 12 years old and under; limit of 3 fish perchild; no culling; only one rod and reel perchild; and adults cannot fish. Adult supervision is required. Association to meet
The South Central Missouri Beekeepers Association will have a meeting on June 1, 2012 at 7 p.m. located in the Howell Oregon Electric Coop building.
