Former lady Cougar golfer competes nationally

Former Izard County High School Golfer Kiley Mettler finished in the Top 20 overall at the National Junior College Athletic Association Women's Golf National Championship. The tournament was played May 15-18 at the LPGA Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Mettler, who plays for Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida, competed as an individual, and was in 9th place overall after round one with a score of 77.

After a second round score of 78, Mettler dropped one spot overall to 10th.

In round 3, Mettler moved back into the ninth spot overall after recording a round of 76 but, after posting an 85 in the final round, Mettler finished in the 20th position.

Seminole State was National Runner-up to Redlands Community College.
