Tri-City All Stars win Cal Ripken Tournament

The Tri-County All-Stars won the Cal Ripken District Machine Pitch Tournament held at Batesville on June 6 and 7.

The team is composed of players from the local Ozark Tri-County League. The Tri-County team went 2-1 during pool play on Saturday defeating Mountain Home and the Batesville 7-year-olds.

Their lone defeat was to the Batesville Thunder by a score of 13-12.

They advanced to elimination play on Sunday as the number one seed and defeated the Batesville seven -year-olds by a score of 10-3 in the semi-finals.

In the championship game the Tri-County All-Stars defeated the Mountain Home eight-year-olds 16-9.
