The Highland Rebel Booster Club met on Tuesday, June 26, at the A.L. Hutson Memorial Center, where club members approved a request from Coach Lou Lynn Stirling to purchase 38 travel bags for the junior and senior volleyball teams.

The bags cost $20 each and will be purchased from Main Street Shirts of Ash Flat.

Sign ups are underway for the third annual Rebel Classic Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Booster Club.

The four-person scramble will be held on Saturday, July 28, at the south course in Cherokee Village, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. A light breakfast will be served before play, with a barbecue lunch to follow the awards presentation.

Entry fee for the tournament is $40 per player. Those interested can contact the South Course Pro Shop in Cherokee Village at 257-2555 to sign up.

The Booster Club will also have a booth at the Sharp County Fair, July 24 - 28. Come on out and visit us there.

The club normally meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, but the July meeting has been pushed back to July 31 at 6 p.m. in the Hospitality Room of the A.L. Hutson Memorial Center. All Rebel fans, parents of Rebel athletes, and anyone interested in the Highland School Athletic programs are always welcome to attend.
