West Plains resident Jerry Walker, third from left, is still having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that he's going to the 2013 United States Open Golf Championship, thanks to his hole-in-one on the No. 2 hole at the West Plains Country Club during the 17th annual Grizzly Golf Classic on June 11. But the awards package he received after the tournament is making it seem more real. Walker will receive round-trip airfare for two from St. Louis to Philadelphia, site of the 2013 tournament, and five days and four nights accommodations for him and his guest. Justin Mitchell of Colton's Steakhouse, the contest sponsor, presented Walker with the prize package valued at $11,000. Grizzly Basketball Coach Yance Walker and Volleyball Coach Paula Wiedeann, on left, were present to celebrate the more than $20,000 raised by the golf tournament to benefit their programs. On the far right is Grizzly athletics intern Justin French, who was the official witness to the hole in one.
