Emergency volunteers attend training

Thursday, August 2, 2012

Volunteer Firefighters and First Responders from several Fulton County Fire Departments attended an Air Evac Landing Zone Preparation training class recently, hosted by Chief Mike Hall of the Camp Fire Department. The training covered helicopter emergency protocol pertaining to an Air Evac helicopter landing, along with rescue and transport of injured victims. Fulton County Fire Departments attending were Byron, Camp, Glencoe, Mammoth Spring, Morriston, Nine Mile Ridge and Salem. The Fulton County Fire Departments are highly recognized as having some of the best trained Firefighters in the state of Arkansas. This is another example of community-minded volunteers taking their personal time to receive ongoing training to ensure the safety of those in need, by providing top shelf Fire and Rescue services for the residents and visitors of the Spring River area.
