Connect Arkansas coming to Calico Rock Library Aug. 2

Ever thought about owning your own business? Want to learn to build your own website? Do you want to work with iPads? Social media, eCommerce, innovation, internet...These terms and many more are rapidly changing the world and how we as Arkansans interact and grow. Connect Arkansas provides entrepreneurial and broadband internet related learning opportunities to students across Arkansas.

A federal grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has allowed Connect Arkansas to bring the powerful and innovative free learning program to 57 rural counties in Arkansas.

Participants in this program will have hands-on access to the latest technologies, computers and handheld devices, and business methods for utilizing their own creativity. They will explore opportunities of internet based commerce, or eCommerce, and internet based entrepreneurship.

Connect Arkansas will host a FREE program at the Calico Rock Library on Thursday, August 2 for middle and high school age students from 11 a.m. Parents and adults are welcome to join in. Make plans to attend!

Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
