Peace Lutheran Preschool, located at the south entrance to Cherokee Village, is currently accepting new students for the new school year, which starts Aug. 20.

The Preschool has recently been certified as an Arkansas Better Beginnings program, which will increase the level of quality of the student's learning experience.

In addition, parents may select a new program being offered, call Wunderkeys. Wunderkeys is a unique piano music lesson program for pre-schoolers ages 3 to 5. The lessons are tailored to meet the needs of preschoolers to ensure that their first music lesson experience is positive and enjoyable.

Peace Lutheran Preschool is the only Christian preschool in our area, and Director Lynn Johnson has an Associate in Arts degree in teaching, and many years of experience teaching young children in the Highland school system. Our school does accept state vouchers.

Speech and Occupational therapy are also offered, and routine screening for all children is provided. The school is anticipating building a new playground equipped with play structures, a shady, grassed area, and a bike trail.

Our open house will be held on Friday, Aug. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We are excited about the new programs for the children and look forward to sharing more information about them with you.

For additional information, call Lynn Johnson at 870-710-3103, Sheila Cave at 870-257-2698 or the school's main office at 870-257-4298.
