UACCB recognizes 33 Practical Nursing students at ceremony

Thirty-three practical nursing students were recognized during the pinning ceremony held July 27, 2012 at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.

Bailey of Batesville, Jennifer Batterton of Batesville, Cassie Boles of Cave City, Ginger Dianna Bratcher of Smithville, Brian Brown of Pleasant Plains, Gary Dauzat of Batesville, Susan Day of Smithville, Rebecca Dunn of Bald Knob, Kimberly Michele Gann of Cave City, Stephanie Garner of Magness, Patricia Goff of Batesville, April Hernandez of Batesville, Lauren Hubbard of Batesville, Kendra Isreal of Ravenden, Shalina Ives of Cave City, Jenny Jones of Batesville, Megan K. McDougal of Batesville, Donald Heath McSpadden of Cave City, Jessica Nicole Melton of Batesville, Audrey Denise Milligan of Cave City, Teighlor Denise Morris of Batesville, Amy Desiree Nilles of Searcy, Christine Lacia Pearson of Batesville, Cynthia A. After interim vice chancellor for academics, Ms. Tammy Jolley welcomed guests, and Bro. Allen Brown offered the invocation, Ms. Cynthia Salter, class representative, recognized nursing faculty and introduced guest speaker, Ms. Nancy Mitchell.

Awards were then given by PN faculty members as follows:

Perfect Attendance: Brown, Goff, McSpadden, Melton, and Milligan; Outstanding Academic Performance: Salter, Shirley; and the Nightingale Award: Shirley.

Nursing and allied health chair, Ms. Rebecca King announced, while PN faculty pinned the graduates.

After they recited the Nightingale pledge and lit their lamps, Bro. Brad Duncan offered the benediction and a reception followed in honor of graduates and their guests.

UACCB offers an eleven month PN program which begins every August. Application deadline is May 1.
