Fulton County First Responders receive training

A select team of Fulton County Fire Fighters and First Responders from six Fulton County Fire Departments attended an advanced Auto Extrication training session hosted by Fire Chief Mike Harlow of the Camp Fire Department. Fire Academy Instructor Shaun Buttry from Baxter County started the training session In the classroom, then proceeded to move on scene, where firefighters were put to the test under hot and humid conditions. Firefighters were divided into teams comprised of fire fighters from different departments. The firefighters were challenged with three separate traffic accident scenarios where victims were trapped in their vehicles and had to be safely extracted from the vehicle. Firefighters from Camp, Glencoe, Mammoth Spring, Morriston, Salem and Sturkie Fire Departments have demonstrated they have the know how to properly use extrication equipment and possess the training and ability to help save lives on Fulton County roadways when dispatched.
