State highway workers removed fallen limbs from the Church Street right of way on Thursday, Aug. 2. The night before, city, county and state crews were busy removing trees and limbs which were blocking streets and roads, after an early evening thunder storm blew through Fulton County. High winds also took off or damaged barn, business and home roofs in the area. In the Viola area, Judy Dillinger's roof blew off her home. Just two week's earlier, a pop-up storm pulled the carport from her home and threw it into the backyard. Some shops at Sky Vue lost their awnings.
