Music in the Mountains show set for Aug. 18

The monthly Music in the Mountains show will return to the stage Saturday Night, Aug. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Horseshoe Bend Theatre.

The Hwy 289 Band will feature songs from the past, and have entitled this show "Memories", performing oldies from classic country and rock, gospel, and traditional.

This month's guests will include Brittany Smith. Brittany has performed her entire life in the East Texas area atmany oprys and shows. She will be performing yodeling favorite "Cowboy's Sweetheart" along with other classic country numbers.

She has recently moved to the Bald Knob area, and show director Melodie Clemmons, being an East Texas native herself, was anxious to have her on the show.

Also appearing for the first time is young 14-year- old Lindsey Atkins of Bald Knob. Lindsey has won several talent competitions and prefers new country and gospel.

Show favorites Robert and Joe Hutcheson will finish out the list of guests appearing, and of course, all of the MITM cast will be on hand.

The Music in the Mountains Show is pleased to announce it will be sponsoring the Carson and Barnes Circus, bringing the world reknown circus to Horseshoe Bend on Wednesday, September 19, for two shows, one at 4:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. Ticket information will be forthcoming.

For an evening of family entertainment at its best, come join the fun on Saturday Night, Aug. 18, at 6:00 p.m.

Marty McKnight will fire up the hamburger grill at 5:00 p.m. Showtime is 6:00 p.m. and admission is always by donation.
