Two new speakers have confirmed appearances at the Go Green Fall Festival, to be held in Thayer on Oct. 20 and 21. They are Doreen Hannes, known as the Truth Farmer, and Terry Durham Roger of Elderberry Life.

Hannes is a nationally known advocate for food freedom and farmer's rights, a former radio talk show host and frequent guest on Joyce Riley's The Power Hour radio broadcast. She has been instrumental in educating farmers and landowners on federal government intrusions, an advocate for government transparency and the rights of farmers and individuals to buy and sell food among themselves.

Durham is a partner in Elderberry Life, a company committed to helping spread the good news about elderberries. More powerful than both blueberries and acai berries, elderberries are a great source of antioxidants. Elderberry Life has a simple mission: Make elderberries available to everyone every day and everywhere.

The Go Green Festival is held twice a year, in April and October. The October 2011 festival had 1,500 people in attendance and grew to almost 3,000 for April 2012.

Go Green encourages innovation for startup business, supports organic food production, supports local farmers and land owners, and especially encourages people to buy, sell and trade with their neighbors to get the economy of our region moving and help people in the Ozarks thrive.
