The University of Missouri Extension Office of Oregon County will hold a meeting to discuss drought recovery issues.

The meeting will be Monday, August 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Oregon County Courthouse conference room located in the basement.

Replanting decisions, nitrates, prussic acid poisoning, and stretching your hay are a just a few of the topics that will be disucssed.

The Extension Office encourages all farmers to sign-up and to be "pro-active" about addressing the drought issues on their farms.

Sarah Kenyon, Agronomy Specialist with the Extension Office just wants to offer some kind of positive support. This meeting will hopefully be a way for farmers to make some positive changes to what has been such a negative season.

There is no registration fee. To pre-register, make special arrangements due to a disability, or further questions please contact the Oregon County Extension Center at (417) 778-7490.
