NAEC ready for Issac

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Mel Coleman at North Arkansas Electric Cooperative says the utility company is ready for Isaac's arrival in the Ozarks.

"NAEC is monitoring the situation and will be prepared for the remnants of Hurricane Isaac," said Coleman in a statement. "We don't anticipate extended power outages. However, with the predicted winds of 40 mph and possible heavy rains, we will be prepared for any situation that arises."

Hurricane Isaac struck the gulf coast on Tuesday as a Category 1 storm. It's currently predicted to come through central Arkansas and then off towards St. Louis, Mo.
