Izard County Sheriff's Arrest Report

Sherry Liles, 59, of Melbourne was arrested Aug. 15 following a complaint from a Melbourne retail business that store employees was holding a female who had taken items from the store. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Liles had placed the stolen items in her purse. These items included a pair of shoes, a container of lotion, Kool-Aid drink mix, hair spray and canned food items. Liles was arrested on shoplifting charges and transported to the Izard County Detention Facility. Liles was released the following day after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller.

On Aug. 17, Izard County Deputies Acy Beebe and Phil Story were dispatched to Johns Kane Road in Melbourne in response to a domestic disturbance. According to reports, Michele Kane and her live-in boyfriend got into an argument over the boyfriend's ex-wife, when Kane kicked him in the groin area. Deputies said Kane was very irate and argumentative, and was using profanities, while smelling strongly of intoxicants. Although the boyfriend did not wish to press domestic battery charges, Kane was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Izard County Detention Facility. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Kane was released the following day after posting bond in the amount of $205 and given a court date.

Scott Allen Vest, 34, of Oxford was arrested Aug. 14 on a failure to appear warrant. Vest posted bond the following day in the amount of $580, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility, and given a court date.

Steve Gene Jarrett, 51, of Cushman was arrested Aug. 14 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Jarrett remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $500 cash bond.

Joshua Nathaniel Moorehead, 21, of Wideman was arrested August 13 on a Cross County warrant. Moorehead posted an $815 cash bond the following day and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Rachel Rene Mead, 21, of Wiseman was arrested August 14 on a Sharp County warrant. Mead was released the day of her arrest from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $1,041 cash bond.

Benjamin Jacob Hinds, age 29 of Oxford was arrested August 13 on a Stone County warrant and was transported the same day to Stone County.

Sandra Jane Dillard, age 36 of Ash Flat was arrested Friday on an Izard County hot check warrant and an additional warrant from Sharp County. Dillard posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $889 and was released.

Three Izard County inmates were transported August 13 to the Regional Punishment Facility to serve court imposed time. Transported were Jeremy David Wray, 34, of Oxford; Tammy Gail Robison, 43, of Calico Rock; and Cynthia Lou Boehm, 46, of Salem.
