Ellavie Ione White, of Viola, daughter of the late Steve Black and Ida Banks
Black, was born April 4, 1910 in Elk City, Okla. She died Sunday, Oct.28, 2012
at her home at the age of 102 years, 6 months and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Milton Lester White Sr. on Feb. 19, 1930 in Ft. Summner, N.M. One son was born to this union. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Clovis Parkland Baptist Church for many, many years.
Survivors include her son, Milton Lester White Jr.(M.L.) and wife, Helen, of Viola; five grandchildren, Rick Painter and wife, Debbie, of Viola, Kathy Mead of Portales, N. M., Gary White and wife, Cindy, of Havre, Mont., Penny Hannah and husband, Pete, of Austin, Ark., and Timothy White and wife, Melissa, of Viola;
12 great-grandchildren and 15 great-greatgrandchildren.
White was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, S.J. and John Black; one sister, Loveta Clark; and her father and mother.
Funeral Services were Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Cox-Blevins Chapel, burial followed at Viola Cemetery, under the direction of Cox-Blevins
Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers were Arthor Barber, Harold Cotter,Andy
Painter, Steve Boles, Kevin Painter, and Phillip Cotter.
