Clifton Eugene Linderman, 93, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., was born on Dec. 11, 1918, in Fulton County, Ark., and passed away on Nov. 2, 2012, at his home.
Survivors include nine children, Eugene and Bobbie Linderman, Gail and Bob Yon, Judy and Frank Farrell, all from Forest City, Ark., Cheryl and Joe Bond, Lynn Arles and Rita Linderman, all of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Terry and Sandra Linderman, Cherokee Village, Ark., Wanda and Tommy Garner, Hardy, Ark., Jan and Judy Linderman of Sherwood, Ark., Marcia and Travis Shirley, Dover, Ark., 42 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle McClaran Linderman, his parents, John William Linderman and Sarah Caldonia Wood Linderman, one daughter, Kay Gwyn Linderman, three brothers and four sisters.
Clifton spent the majority of his life in the Mammoth Spring area, and was a graduate of the Mammoth Spring School system. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring, serving as a Deacon since 1972, and, in 1977, became a certified locksmith.
Services were held Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, with Bro. Bruce Stone and Bro. Charles Morgan officiating. Interment was in the Gum Springs Cemetery, Salem, Ark. Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, Mo.
