Willie Rogers, 84, of Viola, Ark., was born on Dec. 2, 1927, in Elizabeth, Ark., daughter of Charlie Lester and Oma Priscilla (Davis) Landrum. She departed this life on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at her home.

Willie was united in marriage to Ralph William Rogers on Aug. 24, 1946, at Viola, Ark. She spent her working years as a secretary at Viola High School. Willie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed her family, gardening, quilting, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She offered her services during election and the Viola Homecoming each year. She was a member of Center Point Freewill Baptist Church

Willie leaves to mourn her passing: three sons, Roy Dee Rogers and wife, Priscilla, of Springdale, Ark., Rex Howard Rogers and wife, Kimberly Ann, of Mountain Home, Ark., and Ray Bob Rogers and wife, Robin, of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Mary Louise Vasiloff and husband, John, of Mountain Home, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Ross Rogers, Adam Rogers, Sommer Rice, Berkely Rogers, Reed Rogers, Marissa Rogers, Eric Vasiloff, Ronnie Vasiloff and Monica Vasiloff; five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark., with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Robert Lash officiating. Interment was in the Viola Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Danny Ward, Rick Caples, Gaylon Bridges, L. J. Campbell, Jim Walling and Jeff Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Smith, Bob Foster, E. R. Carroll, Connie Hutson, Scotty Walker, Durele Newton and Susan Williams.
