The store, located inside Wyndi's Salon in Cave City, will host an open house on Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pack Rats will offer hot cider and gourmet treats during the event, and give customers an opportunity to shop their unique wares.
"This is just something we have both always enjoyed and we love, pretty much, every item in our shop," Charlotte said, explaining, like kids with their favorite toys, it is hard to sell many of the items and not take them back to their own homes. The Ratliff's said the store expresses their personalities, with a focus on keeping prices affordable. "We want our prices to allow someone working with a budget to be able to walk away with that perfect item," Charlotte said.
One of the unique finds within the store is an early 1900s table from India. The unique piece was left just as the ladies found it, other than a little cleaning. Other items include a fuzzy chair that could fit into any décor, from western to modern or funky. Many of the pieces in Pack Rats can be used in many settings and for many purposes -- depending on the buyer's own creativity.
The ladies are in the process of opening a Pack Rats Facebook page. In the meantime, anyone interested in getting a sneak peak of the items at the shop may check out both Wyndi and Charlotte's personal Facebook pages.
Pack Rats is located in Cave City in the green building near the Cave City Middle School.
