Greyhounds get mixed results against the Cougars

As the Izard County senior boys faced off with the Salem Greyhounds in a Highway 9 showdown. At halftime, Salem held a slim, 23-22, advantage. Salem extended that to a four-point lead four minutes into the second half. The game remained close with just under six minutes left in the game, ICC pulled ahead, 42-40, and went back to Brockwell with a 51-49 win over the Greyhounds.

At halftime, the Salem Lady Greyhounds had a 24-20 lead. By the end of the third quarter the Hounds were on top, 38-29. By the end of the game, Salem had proven itself to be a superior team on that night by winning, 50-33.

On Jan. 3, the Izard County junior boys paid a visit to the Salem junior Greyhounds. After controlling the game for nearly all 24 minutes, the Greyhounds sent the junior Cougars home with a 56-47 loss.
