Matthew announces candidacy for FC JP District 7 seat

Thursday, December 3, 2015

My name is Ray Matthew I would like to take this opportunity to publicly announce my candidacy for Fulton County Justice of the Peace District 7 on the Republican ticket.

I am a lifelong resident of Arkansas living in Fulton County for the last 11 years. My wife Sherry and I live in the Pleasant Ridge Township (Agnos area).

I am a railroad retiree of 32 years from the engineering department. My job duties included; supervising track, track roadbed, bridge and drainage, construction maintenance and inspections. While working in the capacity of general road master and manager of track projects (central US region), I created and managed several multi-million dollar capital projects.

I was elected as a full member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association in 1986. Serving on the national committee 1 (roadbed ballast) for 12 years. My principle duties were to develop study and write recommended practices for the maintenance construction, drainage and stabilization of roadbeds.

I served as a certified reserve deputy sheriff for 14 years earning the rank of squad sergeant.

I feel my life's experience's in the work place makes me a well rounded candidate for Justice of the Peace district 7. If elected, I will strive to do my best and to do what is right for the people of District 7 and Fulton County.
