Falco sets new PR; 6th at Meet of Champs

Salem standout Trevor Falco came in sixth in the 3,200-Meter Run at the Meet of Champions May 13 in Russellville, while also setting a new personal record in the process.

Falco, the two-time Class 2A state champ in the 3,200 finished with a time of 9:55.24 at the Meet of Champions.

Dylan Douglas from Maumelle High School came in first with a time of 9:28.27.

The top five was rounded out by Anton Michna (9:35.43) from Fayetteville; Diego Contreras (9:42.64) from Rogers; Coleman Wilson (9:44.71) from Bentonville; and John Carder (9:45.67) from Bryant High School.

The state record in the 3,200 is held by Batesville’s Brian Baker, who turned in a time of 9:10.04 in 1989.

The Mammoth Spring Lady Bears’ 4X100 Meter Relay team came in ninth at the Meet of Champions.
