Assault leads to arrest and injuries
Two Cave City men were placed under arrest and a third hospitalized, following an altercation which took place in the early morning hours on Oct. 1.
Sharp County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting that a man had been beaten at a residence on James Street in Cave City.
The Cave City Police Department, Cave City Fire Department, Sharp County Sheriff’s Department and Spring River Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found John Marlow had received significant injuries to his head and was transported to a local trauma center. A female victim, Ranotta Moser, had also received injuries; however they were less severe than those afflicted upon Marlow.
Waylon Moser, 29 and Bobby Moser, 28, were arrested at the scene and transported to the Sharp County Jail.
“Investigators went to the scene and have been working the case,” Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts said. “Since then, Marlow has been released from the hospital. The two suspects in the case received a $25,000 bond each and have since bonded out.”
Villager Journal will have more details as they are released.
