Open house to be held at Greer Mill

Thursday, April 26, 2018

A rare glimpse will be offered to visitors at the open house to be held at Greer Mill on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will not just allow for the opportunity to view what has taken place of the restoration, but be a part of the efforts to help preserve this piece of Oregon County history.

There will be a silent auction, raffles, music and Greer Mill t-shirts available for purchase as well as food.

Many items have been donated for the silent auction such as floral prints, gift certificates, Avon baskets, tickets to Silver Dollar City and Springfield Cardinals, NOAA Weather Alert Radio, locally made soap from Get a Grip Soap Company, a small Yeti cooler and items donated from Bass Pro Shops, including a Johnny Morris CarbonLite Spinning Reel, Johnny Morris Carbon Lite 2.0 Rod and two 10 ft. red Ascend kayaks. In addition, crafted items of laser cut images of a drawing of the mill on original siding will be available during the auction.

Parking will be at the Greer Crossing access on the north side of the river. There will be a display of historical pictures and the restoration.
