Humphries to celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Larry and Barbara Humphries will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on May 19. Larry and the former Barbara Pierce of Mammoth Spring were married at the Salem United Methodist Church and continue to attend church there today. They have spent the last 50 years working and raising their family in the Salem area, while living near the Humphries’ family farm where Larry was born and raised in Glencoe where they still reside. Barbara worked at North Arkansas Electric for 45 years before retiring. Larry worked for Stone Lumber Company in Salem, which later became Graddy Sales, before serving the people of Fulton County as Assessor and Treasurer.
Their children would like to invite family and friends to attend a drop by celebration in their honor on Sunday, May 20 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the North Arkansas Electric Cooperative Orange Room. You are encouraged to bring a good memory to share, but please no gifts.
Children of the couple are Link and his wife Jennifer Humphries of Salem; Jo Kaye and husband Steve Bandy of Fayetteville and Tyler and wife Emily Humphries of Midland, Texas. They have four grandchildren: Abby and Allison Humphries of Salem and John Emory and Grayson Bandy of Fayetteville.
