Four people were injured in a two vehicle accident which took place in front of Tri-County Farm and Ranch in Ash Flat June 8.

According to an accident report from the Ash Flat Police Department, two adults and one juvenile sustained serious injuries which resulted in the three being life-flighted out to area hospitals.

The accident occurred just after 4 p.m. when Melanie Kite, of Hardy, was attempting to turn her blue 2006 Hyundai Sonata into the parking lot of the farm store.

Kite did not see the oncoming vehicle, a blue 2016 Yukon being driven by Christy Benson, when she turned into her path.

Benson attempted to swerve to miss Kite, however; it was too late and the two vehicles collided nearly head on.

When police and responders arrived on scene, they began administering aid to the two juvenile children who were in the vehicle with Kite, as well as Kite and Benson.

The second juvenile was treated at a local medical facility and was released to family members.
